Tip No. 10: Be Proactive
|Blog by Ed O'Neill|
If you have worked as a freelancer/small business owner, you will already know that orders/enquiries/customers don’t fall effortlessly onto your desk. You need to work to get them.
Make your luck
A voraciously proactive attitude will blow away the competition and ensure that you are always able to exploit any opportunities that come along. In fact, people who seem ‘lucky’ are actually those who are constantly proactive in searching for what they want, they always find the deals, the customers and the money.
You are the only one who'll stop you
If you don't feel proactive today you have to make yourself more proactive than usual. This is the biggest difference between languishing in a 9 to 5 job watching the hours go by, and being a freelancer or small business owner in charge of your own destiny.
