Want to Publish Your Content on Facebook?

Facebook wants you to publish your content on their platform (not linking to your platform from theirs but actually your content fully published on the Facebook platform).

Why would you do that?

Advertising is one answer, you would have access to Facebook's massive audience and it's sizeable and impressive advertising infrastructure. However according to technorati.com “The revenue from those ads would be shared with the publisher, although details of the split are yet to be fully determined.”

So how much you get is a mystery.

businessinsider.com also covered the story and interviewed News UK CMO Chris Duncan, he said

“It’s like handing over the keys to all the things digital publishers are good at. We’d lose visibility of our usage and visibility of our audience,”

So the initial promise of unspecified ad revenue is currently not enough to persuade all online content creators that publishing on Facebook makes proper financial sense.
